Description

 

CANRSA is a non-profit organisation committed to catalysing personal expression and healing for people of all backgrounds, ages, and abilities. CANRSA aims to provide opportunities and resources for individuals to discover and confidently navigate their creative paths.

 

Mission

 

  • To support and advance emerging artists and ideas through instruction, workshops and creative exchange and eventually sponsorship.

  • Produce programs that introduce audiences and community members to a wide spectrum of contemporary dance forms, bringing in local and regional talent.

  • Provide outreach programs that engage minds and courage participation, promoting interdisciplinary dialogue and meaningful links between artists and the community.

  • Foster dance literacy and advocate for dance as an essential component of the cultural vitality of our country.

 

Beliefs/Values

 

The arts touch people's lives in profound ways: in their understanding of themselves, their connection to local and world communities and cultures, and in their understanding of their own creativity. The arts provide these qualities to the greater public for the social and economic benefits that the shared performance experience provides.

 

Chanelle’s Angel Network's belief in these sustaining principles manifests in the following forms:

 

  • Providing diverse opportunities for shared artistic experiences for all whilst maintaining high standards, inspiring participation in the creation, understanding, and appreciation of the arts.

  • Fostering the artistic development of established, emerging, and aspiring regional, national, and international artists.

  • Collaborating with artists and arts organisations, community partners, dance schools/academies and businesses in pursuit of mutual goals and richer cultural experiences.

  • Appreciating the value of our audiences, the talent of our artists, the generosity of our funders, the dedication of our staff, board, and volunteers, and the integrity of our communities.

  • Creating a dynamic learning organisation.

  • Responding to demographic shifts in our community.

  • Embracing an internal staff culture that values innovation and cooperation, utilises talent and skills, and provides opportunities for growth and learning.

  • Providing excellent customer service with a constant focus on patron/participant experience at every contact point.

Ethics

 

Chanelle Angel Network will conduct its business by the very definition of the word ethics which is: “the moral principles that govern a person's behaviour or the conducting of an activity”.
